10/10/17 - Ted will be presenting on:

Introduction to Emotional Intelligence
Did you know that Emotional Intelligence is three times more likely to predict leadership success than IQ?
The most effective leaders understand how to manage their emotions. Leaders set the tone for their personal interactions. A leader's Emotional Intelligence affects others in the organization. Knowing how to leverage one’s Emotional Intelligence effectively can be the difference between effective and ineffective leadership.
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand your feelings and the emotional states of those around you, and the ability to use those feelings to guide thoughts and actions appropriately. Individuals with high emotional intelligence are poised, outgoing and cheerful, have empathy for others, express their feelings directly/appropriately and have the capacity to build meaningful relationships. These traits are very important aspects of a collaborative, high achieving workplace. This presentation will offer techniques to understand and develop your emotional intelligence.
In this presentation, attendees will complete their individual emotional Intelligence assessment. This report will be utilized during the presentation.

Presentation Objectives:
• Understand what Emotional Intelligence is and why it is important.
• Learning the 5 areas that make-up Emotional Intelligence.
• Understand what gifts the 7 major emotions provide to you.
• Identify negative consequences of unmanaged emotions on personal effectiveness.
• Understand the difference between an under-developed and highly developed Emotional Intelligence.
• Understand how to apply emotional intelligence in the workplace to enhance employee relationships and increase productivity.
• Examine your individual Emotional Intelligence makeup.
